Cheerleading

Information

Greetings from the KHS PANTHERS Varsity Cheer Team!

I am Ms. Perry, and I am your new Varsity Coach. I will be working directly with your daughter/son this school year. My top priority and main goal this school year is to take this team to greater heights. I understand that this may take some time to get to, but the goal is to get there. Please know that as the new Coach, I have very high expectations and standards for this team. I would like to see this team become a well-respected team on/off campus and within the community. Please be on the lookout for an amended and updated Merit and Demerit system along with updated expectations in the upcoming week that will be implemented moving forward.

The Panther Cheerleading team at King High School is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership as a student and athlete. The cheerleaders at KHS are going to be held to the highest standards of respect, behavior, academics, and sportsmanship. KHS Cheer is a year around sport. The team will have a disciplined core of leadership that exemplify the top students on campus. The cheer team works together, fundraises together and most of all has fun together. Most importantly, the KHS Cheer Team functions under the philosophy to help each other and be a cohesive team that positively promotes the values and principles of our campus and Sheldon ISD. Team members are encouraged to always carry themselves in an appropriate mannerOur Cheerleaders are expected to be Leaders first! They are also encouraged to help be positive role models for the student body and each other. Being a cheerleader at King HS is not a right, but it is a privilege and an honor to represent our school with class and character.

The Varsity team will typically host practice 3 days out of the week. Afterschool practices are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:50-4pm unless otherwise announced differently by me.

If you have any questions that you need direct or immediate answers to, please feel free to reach out to me by email or phone at ashleyperry@sheldonisd.com or ext 7051 at the school.
