Mission
To close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
What is AVID?
AVID is a college prep course designed to equip our 6th-12th grade students with the tools to achieve their academic and career goals. Once in the AVID class, students will find guidance over topics like college, scholarships, the workforce, skills, and study habits.
What are the benefits of AVID?

- Learn about colleges, programs, and careers
- Learn about scholarships, financial aid, and more
- Build ties with the community through volunteer hours
- Gain skills in organization, time management, note taking, and study habits
- Find mentorship through AVID teachers and tutors
AVID Staff:
The AVID staff is made up of the AVID coordinator, AVID elective teachers and tutors. Our staff attends yearly trainings to obtain new skills and strategies for our students.
AVID tutors are college students with demonstrated academic strengths and Pre-AP/AP course experience. They act as mentors for our students, guiding them toward academic success, college readiness, and career prep.
