Approximately 135 Sheldon ISD middle school students were initiated into Early College High School during a pinning ceremony on April 9. Through this program and it's partnership with San Jacinto College, C.E. King high school students take on college-level coursework while still in high school, advancing their future opportunities by leaps and bounds.

Sheldon ISD announces Ms. Jacqueline Burquez, principal of Sheldon Lake Elementary, as the Elementary Principal of the Year and Mr. Roberto Gonzalez, principal of Michael R. Null Middle School, as the Secondary Principal of the Year. Please join us in congratulating these leaders at Sheldon ISD!

Sheldon's elementary and middle schools put forth their best spellers in the District Spelling Bee contest. The top three champions emerged after fierce competition. First place winner Niko Martinez, from Garrett Elementary, advances to the regional contest in March. Congratulations to our SISD spelling bee winners!
