Amandina Alvarez

Hello Sheldon Community members,

I am very excited to teach World Geography this academic year! I was born and raised in Houston and am also a former C.E. King High School student. Additionally, I am a proud first-generation Mexican-American woman with a B.A. in History from Texas A&M University - College Station. While at university, not only did my love of history deepen, but I also gained a larger world view that helped me understand my place in the world and how I wish to impact my local community. Not only do I want my students to succeed in the classroom, but I also want to help my students become global citizens. My goal is to help all my students understand how they can positively impact our planet and global society while also supporting their individual academic or career goals.
