Jumana Mills

Welcome Panthers!

It is a pleasure to introduce myself as the MED Academy Principal. I am a graduate of Lamar University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Science with an emphasis in Family Studies. Upon graduating, I completed a certification program with Texas Teachers to become a high school teacher. Once I began teaching, I rejoined the Cardinal family, Lamar University, to pursue a Masters of Education degree in School Counseling. However, I did not stop there. I later earned an Educational Leadership certification.

It has been a pleasure serving the students and the community of Sheldon ISD for the past ten years. My focus is to make every child successful and creating a life-long learner. As the academy principal, I am here to assist students with removing any barriers to success. These obstacles could be in the area of academics, career, social, and emotional development both at school and in life. I look forward to having a wonderful 2019-2020 school year, as we work together for EVERY CHILD, EVERY DAY.
