Bernardo Hernandez
My name is Bernardo Hernandez and I am honored and humbled to serve as the Public Service Leaders (PSL) Academy Principal. I am excited to share my 10th year in education with the incredible students we have at C. E. King High School.
I am from El Paso, Texas. I am the first in my family to graduate from college. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University in Mathematics. I earned my Master’s Degree from Lamar University in Educational Leadership. Attending Texas A&M was a challenge and an opportunity that motivates me to help our students achieve a level of success that can open similar doors in their lives. Education has been a passion for me in my life and I feel blessed to be able to share my passion with the Sheldon ISD community.
My entire professional career has taken place in Sheldon ISD as a math teacher, soccer coach, department chair, UIL coach, and, now, as an Academy Principal. I have always been proud to be a member of this community and I am excited to help our students in this upcoming year. My belief is that all students can and will learn when given the right opportunity. Education has played a major role in my life, academically, socially, and emotionally, so I strive to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
As the academy principal, I am here to assist students in becoming more than they thought possible and look forward to supporting them through their high school journey. My door is always open and I look forward to partnering with you in helping your student be successful.
