Guillermo Ovalles

Greetings! My name is Guillermo Ovalles, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 15th year teaching in Sheldon ISD.

I grew up in Venezuela, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a Master of Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

I began my teaching career at Sheldon Elementary where I taught 3rd and 4th grade.  I taught in elementary school for 10 years before moving up to the high school level.

This year, I will be teaching English for Newcomers (beginner’s English) as well as providing in-class-support for English Language Learners in other classes.

Currently, I live Houston with my wife, Lissette, and our daughter Barbara.  I enjoy exercising, traveling, cooking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.

I look forward to helping you meet your educational goals!
