Duaine Harris Sr.

My name is Duaine P. Harris Sr., and I am humbled and blessed to serve as the Associate Principal of Operations and Student Services at C. E. King High School. I am excited to share my 13th year in education with the students in Sheldon ISD.

I graduated from Lamar University with a B.S. in Sociology, an M.A. in Counseling, and an M.E. in Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University. I have varied knowledge and experience as a teacher and a school leader. My educational career began in Beaumont, TX. as a Special Education teacher and coach. During my career, I have served as a teacher on every level, coached at the middle and high school levels, and served as a middle and high school Assistant Principal as well as Principal during my education tenure.

With the support of the teachers, staff, parents, and community, we can ensure educational excellence for all, with no excuses. I believe that all students will and can learn in a supportive and safe environment.

My passion is to develop positive relationships within the community, working with students as they grow, supporting staff, and motivating them to reach their greatest potential. I want to utilize the compassion of the parents for their children, the community, and businesses to promote opportunities beyond the scope of the school and to assist us in supporting our vision to build more productive and world-class students. I am committed to advocating for “Every Child, Every Day.”
