“We are thrilled to have Dr. McCall back home in Sheldon ISD,” said Board President Fred Rivas. “He spent much of his administrative career serving our community. I’m confident we have found the right person to keep Sheldon ISD positioned as a premiere school district as well as advance us even further in our mission.”
The Sheldon ISD Board of Trustees began a search process in February after the announcement of Dr. King Davis’ retirement. Dr. Davis has been the superintendent for Sheldon ISD since 2016. More than 35 applicants applied for the Sheldon ISD superintendent position.
“I feel blessed and humbled to be back in Sheldon ISD,” said Dr. McCall. “I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting many new people. I’m excited to get started and begin working with our staff, families and students.”
Dr. McCall’s official start date will be Thursday, June 1.
