KHS After-School Program
The Sheldon ISD After- School program at C. E. King is grant funded for the students and their families. King Academy provides a variety of enrichment and academic classes that will involve communal engagement to mold future business and public service leaders. C.E. King High school is committed to not only meeting the academic needs of all students, but to focus on the whole child. KHS will begin offering the 21st Century After School Program on September 4th, 2018 servicing over 100 families in grades 9th-12th. The goal of the program is to extend learning time for each student using a discovery learning approach through hands-on exploration. The after school program is the catalyst to assist in closing the achievement gap with a long range goal of decreasing the dropout rate and increasing academic performance.
Program Site Coordinator
Hello, I am joining the KHS Team for the 2018-2019 school year and what a great feeling it is becoming a panther. This will be my 6th year working with the Sheldon ISD After School department. I served at Garrett Elementary, as the Site Coordinator, for 4 years. I earned my Masters in Psychology in 2015 and look forward to using my educational background to support your students any way I can. I truly have a passion for exposing students to all the wonderful opportunities available to them. I look forward to serving your students and learning all of the things they will teach me in my new environment. I cannot wait to begin displaying my Panther Power around KHS!
