What is KHS PTSO?
The King High School Parent Teacher Student Organization, also referred to as the “KHS PTSO” is a non-profit volunteer organization established for the purpose of advancing and supporting the education of students attending C.E. King High School. We are a group of parents, caregivers, family members, students, administrators, faculty and staff; who are dedicated to building relationships, creating partnerships and enhancing the communication between parents, teachers, students and the community.
Our members strive to promote Panther Pride and Panther Spirit by encouraging parental and community involvement in our school; and to support King High School through volunteer service, financial assistance, student programs; and student and faculty appreciation and recognition.
Get Involved!
We strongly encourage everyone affiliated with C.E. King High School and the Sheldon community (adults/students) to get involved; we need your support so that we can assist in making our high school students’ secondary education the most treasured experience ever!
Fundraising
The KHS PTSO conducts two major fundraising projects each school year; the annual community Homecoming Festivities and “King Idol” Talent Contest. During the Fall semester we host our annual Homecoming Festivities which consists of a Parade, Carnival, Block Party, Community Pep Rally, Powder Puff Game, Sheldon Community Spirit Day and a Homecoming Dance. In the Spring, we sponsor the annual “King Idol” Talent Contest, where KHS students showcase their talents and the top three winners receive trophies and prizes. This year’s “King Idol” Talent Contest is tentatively scheduled for:

Meetings
The KHS PTSO has their General Meetings on the 1st Mondays of every month Time: 6:30 PM — 7:30 PM; and Location: KHS Presentation Hall—Main Bldg. (Old Board Room).
